At Happy Tails, we are passionate about providing a safe and comfortable environment for your furry family members. We offer a range of services including dog kennel and daycare, one-on-one dog walking while your dog stays with us, and specialized boarding and daycare for senior dogs. Our experienced and caring team is dedicated to ensuring your pet's happiness and well-being.
Meet Brenda
Founded with love, owned with passion, run with care!
My love for dogs has been a lifelong passion, and after moving to Cape Breton in 2022, I had the opportunity to work at a local dog shelter. During that time, we palliative fostered Jake, our Chihuahua, and found Kallie, who became part of our family. Working at the shelter made me realize that I wanted to dedicate my life to caring for dogs in a way that was both fulfilling and rewarding. I knew I needed to create something of my own—something that allowed me to work with dogs every day while also bringing joy, freedom, and fun into my life.
That’s why I started Happy Tails—to provide a safe, fun, and enriching environment where dogs can thrive. Whether it’s daycare, overnight boarding, or senior care, every pup is treated like family, with plenty of love, play, and personalized attention. My goal is to create a space where dogs feel comfortable, happy, and free to be themselves. If being known as the ‘crazy dog lady’ means I’ve truly made it in life, then I wear that title with pride!
Meet Stacy
Groomer!
Hi, my name is Stacy! I’m the groomer currently pampering your pets at Happy Tails.
My love for animals started at a very young age and I always knew I wanted to work with animals! Grooming was something I took an interest in, who doesn’t love making a pooch feel their best!! I started grooming back in 2019 and worked for a corporate company for a year where I learned they preferred quantity over quality.
From there, I went on my own.. Grooming regulars out of my basement for the last 5 years and have loved every second. I realized I missed pampering pets at which point my good friend Brenda reached out to ask to expanded my talents.
I’m looking forward to spending QUALITY time with your pooches while also offering them the best quality groom I can provide!!
